Practices resume Wednesday, November 11, after last Sunday's Cancellation

We received confirmation from BC Speed Skating Association that we may resume practices under Phase 2 Return to Sport guidelines.

Our club has been operating under Phase 2 guidelines since we re-opened in October, so please continue the great job you have been doing to keep everyone safe.

Reminders:
As our season continues, please continue to follow the direction of our Safety Coordinators:

Michael Mong (Wednesdays)
June Lum (Sundays)

Before arriving at practice, please complete our online Pre-Screening questionnaire, on the day of practice. Our Safety Officer will verify this has been completed before allowing entry to the arena.
Skaters are asked to arrive at the arena fully dressed for practice apart from their skates.
Please arrive no later than the "Enter Rink" times listed for your practice on the Club Website. Parent volunteers are needed for putting mats on an off the ice and other safety duties.
- If you do not have an official volunteer role, you maybe asked to leave the arena at the start of practice and remain nearby until practice is finished.

Special Olympians Return to VSSC!

We're so happy that our Special Olympics skaters are back with us again, starting with tonight's practice! Huge thank you to June Lum, and others, for working so hard to make this happen. June was recognized as a 2020 Community Sport Champion by the City of Vancouver. Check out her video here, filmed last season before COVID distancing protocols.
